Forum Snowboards was founded in 1996 by pro snowboarder Peter Line, so Forum really is a brand by snowboarders, for snowboarders. Peter Line wanted to create the best snowboard team in the world. This resulted in the so-called Forum 8, the best team of freestyle snowboarders ever. The Forum 8 consisted of JP Walker, Jeremy Jones, Wille Yli-Luoma, Bjorn Leines, Chris Dufficy, Joni Malmi, Devun Walsh and Peter Line. They could first be seen in videos like The Resistance, True Life and Video Gangs. The riders rode street rails and park, as well as backcountry kickers. Thanks to thisprogressive style of riding, Forum quickly became one of the most popular snowboard brands on the market. Forum snowboards are designed for all kinds of terrains, and the boards are famous for their great graphics. In 2005, Burton bought Fourstar Distribution, including Forum, Foursquare and Special Blend. Since then, a lot has changed at Forum. From the original 8, Peter Line is the only remaining team member, but with riders like Andreas Wiig, Stevie Bell and Jake Welch Forum still has one of the best teams in the business.
