Clae was founded in 2001 by Sung Choi, who also worked at Triple 5 Soul, PNB, DC Shoes, Supreme, Lakai Footwear and Ecko. Choi gets his inspiration from the clean, simple lines of the mid-century modern art and design, coupled with the energy and attitude of NYC in the ‘80s and ‘90s. Besides that he wants to create the shoes he would wear: shoes that are versatile, that can carry you from day to night without sacrificing style or comfort. Clae shows us the future of men’s footwear.
