Arbor produces longboards, skateboards and snowboards. The company was founded in 1995 because a group of skateboarders and snowboarders was convinced that the boardsports industry needed a company that was willing to take responsibility for the impact of their products on the environment. Time spent riding in the environment showed them the importance of protecting the environment. Protecting the planet is about protecting the environments board sports enthusiasts use every day. We all need clean air to skate, clean water to surf, and snow to ride. Arbor’s mission is to deliver performance, durability, and style in the most responsible way possible. Arbor replaces as many environmentally harmful materials as possible, with functional, ecologically based alternatives to create a high quality product with reduced environmental impact. But Arbor isn’t ‘green’ just for the sake of being green. They want to make snowboards and skateboards that are relevant and perform, so they only select eco-materials when this results in better looking, higher performing and more durable products. Arbor is a growing collective of artists, designers, and friends that is focused on creating sustainable longboards, skateboards and snowboards through a blend of art, technology and eco-friendly materials.
